Hi(e)sTV is an evolving platform initiated by Apartment Project that brings together artists from Turkey, Iran, Lebanon and Germany to collectively rethink migration, belonging and identity through moving image, performance and collective production.

At the heart of the project is Hi(e)sTV News—a fictional news broadcast revisiting political, ecological and social crises through satire. Borrowing the language of television, the series blurs the boundaries between reality and fiction, information and speculation. Protesters wearing masks to evade facial recognition, a blindfolded game exposing social blindness, climate catastrophe, mass displacement and ecological collapse unfold through the voices of self-proclaimed experts, philosophers, astrologers and reporters. Here, news is no longer merely information, but a performative space where fears, hopes and the collective unconscious take shape.

The exhibition features works by Özge Açıkkol, Selda Asal, Emre Birişmen, Eralp Orkun Cihan, encounterlab (Selim Hill & Asya Birsel), Raha Faridi, Michael Fesca, Şifa Girinci and Seçil Yersel.

This year’s 8th edition of Hi(e)sTV expands the platform with new voices and perspectives. Zahra Zavareh, Amirali Ghasemi and Simin Yaghoubi join the project for the first time, contributing new works that deepen Hi(e)sTV’s ongoing exploration
