As part of the upcoming «Chromatic Wednesdays» event on the new monthly theme «Collectivity», you are invited to get to know Questionarch. With the alternative exhibition and project spaces Fix-o-tek and the Vide-o-tek in Berlin, Questionarch focuses on sustainability, public space, material reuse, and experimental urban concepts. Since 2020, the space has supported young emerging and underrepresented artists, designers, architects, urbanists, and performers through workshops, film festivals, exhibitions, and research. Since Questionarch did not receive any funding this year and also had its space broken into, its crew launched a fundraising campaign (https://gofund.me/5a29e7e6). Learn more in their presentation and workshop at Apartment Project, followed by a transdisciplinary performance by FEED at Questionarch.

FEED members Marie Takahashi (viola), Simon Rose, (baritone saxophone) and Andrew Wass (dance choreography) have gradually developed a transdisciplinary improvisational practice in which sound and movement are shared across disciplines as reciprocal composing occurs over the course of the performance. Guided by Wass’ extensive knowledge of contemporary dance and working with shared bodily presence through somatic practices, they combine physical, spatial, and temporal awareness with sound (according to Pauline Oliveros). Their work draws on Six Viewpoints (according to Marie Overlie), Ensemble Thinking and ReWire Movement Method (according to Nina Martin), Alexander Technique, and Feldenkrais in conjunction with the responsiveness and adaptability the trio has gained through their experience with open improvisation in music.

«Chromatic Wednesdays» is a bi-weekly event series bringing together creative thinkers across diverse backgrounds. As part of this interdisciplinary program, the presentation will be shown at 19.00 (doors open at 18.30) Apartment Project (Hertzbergstraße 13, 12055 Berlin) and the performance at 21.00 at Questionarch (Lohmühlenstraße 65, 12435 Berlin) and can also be followed online on Youtube (https://youtube.com/live/AaieGx_eSUg).

The space of Apartment Project is accessible by wheelchair.
